We support you in achieving your Certificate IV in Child, Youth, and Family Intervention (Residential Care) through our preferred Registered Training Organisation (RTO) – worth $4000. Plus, we’ll provide supervision and mentoring while you work and learn.

At Safe Places, you’ll be completing your Certificate IV on the job, as your units of competency will be based on your standard daily youth worker tasks.

Ongoing Learning and Development
Our Learning and Development team foster a culture of continuous learning and have designed special training modules just for our team to help you grow personally. These include a comprehensive induction program, regular refresher courses, and ongoing mentoring and support.
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training
The TCI training program equips youth workers with essential tools and skills to support young people effectively in various situations from prevention and de-escalation to crisis management and recovery. TCI training is incorporated into our induction process and continues throughout the year.
Developing tomorrow’s leaders
For those aspiring to leadership roles, our in-house Leadership Academy offers a range of leadership training and development opportunities, from bi-monthly sessions for Area Managers, to online courses for Case Managers.
